This is a poignant reminder that the current generations would benefit greatly, if put into practice.

Stillness and feeding one’s soul is almost redundant.

Well done Annette. I pray that many will be led to this message and benefit. May they be drawn into an encounter with their Creator and Lord.

Todah for this piece.

"hear me, that your soul may live." (Isaiah 55:3)

This takes me straight to the Hebrew meaning for "obey," albeit there is no single word FOR obey in Hebrew.

Shema is the Heb. word that is defined as the word obey.

Shema means to "hear and act accordingly."

Obey me that your soul may live.

As you succinctly state that earthly bread is one thing;

However, the divine bread: scripture, is where it’s at.

“…. man cannot live by bread 🥖 🥯🍞🥐alone, but also by everything that comes from the Lord’s mouth.” (Deuteronomy 8:3)

Hearing and studying the Word is imperative, as is hearing and acting accordingly so that your soul may live.
